Eyebrows are a major facial feature; they define our face and give definitions to our eyes and forehead. There are many ways to maintain unruly brows, from tweezing or waxing, to the Indian art of threading. Which ever method you opt for, shape is crucial.
How to get the perfect shape
The biggest mistake people make is over plucking. To find where your brow should be, take a pencil and hold it parallel to the side of your nose, where the pencil meets your brow is where your brow should begin.
To find the end of your brow, place the pencil diagonally from the nostril, following the ouside edge of the eye toward the brow. Where the inside of the pencil meets the brow is where your brow should end.
Eyebrows should have a gentle, sweeping arch; ideally this should sit above the iris.
Maintaining the perfect brow
After perfecting the shape of the brow, sparse brows sometimes need a little extra help to frame the face. This can be achieved using eyebrow powder and shaper kit, or by simple freehand use of an eyebrow pencil. Try to keep it lighter than your natural colour and use soft strokes. One drawn line looks false.
