Everything you need to know about Dermalux LED Phototherapy

What is Dermalux LED Phototherapy?

Dermalux LED Phototherapy is a clinically proven form of light therapy which is recommended by dermatologists and health care profesionals to treat a variety of skin concerns and reverse signs of ageing. It uses colour wavelengths including blue, red and near-infrared light, which have specific skin benefits.

How does it work?

Skin cells that are stressed or damaged as a result of ageing or skin conditions (such as acne, rosacea etc) are unable to renew themselves properly. LED lights penetrate your skin, going deep below the epidermis which is why it’s able to cause a reaction. your skin cells are able to use the light as a source of energy which kick starts the repair and rejuvenation of damaged cells, or, in the case of treating acne, the process of killing bacteria. It also stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, boosts circulation and accelerates tissue repair.

Essentially, Dermalux uses non-thermal LED light energy to trigger your body’s natural cell processes to accelerate rejuvenation and repair of the skin.

What can Dermalux treat?

Dermalux can be used to treat pigmentation, acne, rosacea/redness as well as fine lines. It’s boosts the skin’s collagen production so it has long lasting postive effects on overall skin health and after one treatment you’ll have visible results in terms of skin luminosity.

How many treatments will I need?

The number of treatments that I’ll recommned will depend of what you’re looking for. One treatment will give an instant glow, revitalising the complexion and restoring luminosity. If you’re looking to target a skin concern such as pigmentation, acne or rosacea for example, a course of treatment will be recommended. A course will offer long lasting visible results, stimulating the skin’s natural repair processes to speed up cell renewal, resolve problem skin conditions and promote vibrant healthy-looking skin.
